The 2026 Photography Competition is now open.

The competition has now been running for 17 years and each year we are amazed at the standard of photographs submitted. The only real rule for the competition is that the photograph has to be a view or artefact of Matlock Bath.

Entrants have until 10th October to submit up to 4 photographs. Photographs should be uploaded using the form below. If you do have any problems uploading your photographs, contact the Clerk – clerk@matlockbathparishcouncil.gov.uk

Prizes will be awarded as follows:

Adults – 1st Prize – £80, 2nd Prize – £65, 3rd Prize – £50, Best Villager and the Parish Council award (which is chosen by the Parish Council).

We will also offer “Best Picture of ….” categories – these will be confirmed once sponsorship has been obtained.

Young Photographer (aged 11-16) & Junior Photographer (aged 8-10) – Prizes will be in the form of vouchers.

Following the closing date, entries will be shortlisted and the finalists will be displayed on Saturday 31st and Sunday 1st November 2026. We will invite members of the public to vote for their favourites which will determine our winners.
