Celebrating its ‘Golden Anniversary’ this year, it is 50 years since Andrew and Vanessa Pugh took over The Heights of Abraham, transforming the once tired and run-down hilltop estate, to create today’s sustainable and unique visitor attraction enjoyed by many. The introduction of the alpine style cable car system at The Heights created quite a stir forty years ago, as it was the first passenger system of its kind to be introduced to the UK and gave the attraction a real point of difference.
